APPOINTMENTS

Please telephone 8281 1688 or book online for an appointment.  If an urgent or a longer appointment is required, please inform our receptionist. If you cannot keep your appointment, please telephone as soon as possible so that other patients can be seen. All efforts are made so that patients can see their regular doctor. Interpreting services can be arranged free of charge – please enquire at booking.

 

FEES

We are a mixed billing clinic and a full payment including a gap of $15-$50 is payable for all consultations. A Medicare rebate can be instantly claimed back, minus the gap amount. Some doctors may continue to bulk-bill certain patients with concession or pension cards. Additional payments apply for procedures such a Implanon or Mirena insertion / removal, biopsy / excision of skin lesion, suturing of cut, ear syringing and all IV infusions; examination for Fitness to hold a commercial license / Insurance / Pre-employment examination, etc. are not covered by Medicare and will be privately billed. Please inquire at booking.

 

RECALL/REMINDER SYSTEM

This practice has an automatic recall system for patients who need regular tests or preventative health measures.  If you do not wish to be part of our recall system, please advise us.

 

TELEPHONE POLICY

The practice strongly recommends that follow-up appointments are made for all pathology/x-ray results (receptionists are not permitted to give out results).  All other medical issues are best discussed face-to-face with your doctor during consultation, as an accurate diagnosis cannot be made confidently over the phone.  If you call when the doctor is attending other patients, your call will be returned as soon as practicable.  In this instance, please leave a short message with the medical receptionist regarding your concerns. We do not communicate via email due to security risks.

 

HOME VISITS

Home visits are available for regular patients of the practice whose condition prevents them from attending the clinic. Each case will be assessed based on the patient’s clinical situation at the time of request. There is a 5km radius limit from the practice and a gap payment of $150.00.
 

AFTER HOURS SERVICE

When you call this clinic after hours, you will be given the number of our After Hours Service Provider – The National Home Doctor Service, or you can access the service directly on 13 7425 (13SICK).
 

PRIVACY POLICY

All patient communication and records are treated with strict confidentiality. We abide by the Australian Privacy Principles https://www.oaic.gov.au/individuals/privacy-fact-sheets/general/privacy-fact-sheet-17-australian-privacy-principles. Your information will only be available to authorized staff and other health professionals with your permission. You are entitled to a copy of your own medical records on request; however, we reserve the right to charge an administration fee to cover any costs incurred in printing this document.

If you have any concerns about our service, please contact us. We seek patient feedback at specific intervals to improve our services. At other times, please feel free to talk to our doctors or receptionists.  Alternatively, you may prefer to write to us or use our suggestion box. We take your suggestions and complaints seriously.
